| Joseph Vargas has more than 40 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, currently serving as President of Wonderful Real Estate. In this role Mr. Vargas is tasked with leasing, sales, and development of Wonderful Logistics Center a 1,700 Acre development in Shafter/Bakersfield, California, entitled for the development of up to 25 million square feet of industrial distribution space. Wonderful Logistics Center serves as the home to notable clients such as Amazon, Walmart, Ross Dress for Less, Target, Smucker’s, ATD, Formica and FedEx. During his career, he has specialized in the marketing, leasing and sales of premier office and industrial projects throughout California.
Prior to joining Wonderful Real Estate Development, Mr. Vargas served as Executive Vice President – National Advisory at Lee & Associates charged with opening offices in Tier 1 cities throughout US. Mr. Vargas served as the West Region President of Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. His duties included overseeing operations and management of fifteen offices in the Western US, in Washington, Oregon, California, and Arizona, and providing strategic direction in recruiting, retention and business development.
Mr. Vargas serves on the Board of Directors of the American Industrial Real Estate Association (AIR), the Board of Directors of REAL, and is a member of the Los Angeles Chapter of SIOR, Southern California Chapter of the NAIOP, and the Los Angeles Commercial Realty Association (LACRA). He was a two-time United States Olympian (1980 & 1984) in the sport of Water Polo and a silver medalist in the 1984 games. |
